Guest Bio:

In her last role in the corporate world, Laura Valvasori led marketing strategy and oversaw execution for PwC’s National Private Company Services and Consulting & Deals practices. During that time, she had many frank conversations with owners of private companies about their experiences with marketing. There were consistent themes: they didn’t really understand what marketing was. Either they weren’t doing any marketing or they weren’t sure if they were doing the right things.

After spending over 15 years working in marketing roles for professional services firms, Laura left the corporate world to start Good to Grow Marketing. She saw a need in the marketplace for someone who could help companies create their big-picture marketing strategy, connect the dots between all the disciplines, and link marketing to the overall business strategy.
Working out of her home office, formally a shed, in Oakville, Ontario, she has created a successful consulting business that allows her to leverage her talents, work with amazing clients, and gives her the freedom to focus on spending time with her family, staying healthy, and pursuing other interests outside of work including yoga and boating.
She has two great kids and a spunky Maltese puppy. She also has an amazing husband that supports her in everything. One of the reasons she started Good to Grow Marketing was to be able to create a life that aligns with her personal values. She likes knowing that her work has an impact, while allowing her to be healthy, happy and thriving as an authentic, creative, and independent self!
Her latest project, the Flying Solo Academy will help people with expertise from the corporate world become successful solo business-to-business consultants so that they can create a sustainable and rewarding business and a life they love.
